But then I opened up the Terminal and checked the file listing, and there it was, still there, just not visible in the Finder. I was curious and looked in the Finder of the current iCloud folder, and as everyone else noticed, no Sketchbook folder. Basically a bunch of random characters (like an ID) before the recognizable com-alias-sketchbookpro or whatever. Sure enough stuff was there, albeit with a funky folder name. Off the top of my head the iCloud documents folder is actually ~/Library/Mobile Documents (~ being your user home), so looked there in my backup archives. I had backups of my machine going back a while so figured worst case I should have everything in there. Ran into this recently on my iPad and came across this thread after some searching. This may help if you don't want to lose the file altogether tho. tiff file from Sketchbook to open the individual layers are lost. The image was there, however unless there is a way to somehow get the. So just get on a call with sketchbook, I am sure they must be aware of this problem by now & hopefully have a more straightforward solution. After a failed attempt to open the file from my laptop, I checked my gallery as a last resort. It just kinda randomly worked out for me. I am sorry that I don’t have a actual solution just random findings. Can’t trust this garbage of a storage solution! Currently all my files are showing up in there.Ĩ) as soon as u get the files(that I really hope u do) throw a copy on a external drive & do this periodically.

at this point I gave up & called sketchbook a couple of hrs later.Ħ) finally on call with sketchbook helpline I restarted my mac & boom the OG folder showed up on my iCloud folder but was still not showing up on my iPad/iPhone.ħ) they made me create a new folder on my iCloud & copy the files into that. if u find the files in recent tab you can right click & select show enclosed folder & then once that folder is open(worked till here), cmd+up should take u one level up. Cause we could see the files & their path leading to the parent iCloud folder but not the actual folder once we went there. Basically in the finder sidebar.ĥ)apple helpline kept escalating me & they were super confused too. The show hidden folder shortcut(cmd+shift+period) on mac didn’t make it visible.Ĥ) some files randomly showed up on my recent section/tab of the iCloud folder on my mac. I am sleep typing, so sorry if it’s kinda gibberish:)ġ) if u go to iCloud settings on your iPhone/iPad & go to manage storage, u will be able to see sketchbook using space there(was 4.5gb for me)Ģ) even re-downloading the app didn’t create a folder, as it should since there was no previous sketchbook folder showing.ģ) so basically the sketchbook folder is somehow gone hidden. Had the exact same problem & somehow fixed it but sadly don’t have a clean solution.
